Cannabis Product Manufacturers Now Selling to 100 Colorado Retailers Through Online Platform

Colorado marijuana stores are now ordering from more than a dozen cannabis vendors through LeafLink

DENVER, June 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Over 100 Colorado retailers are using LeafLink.com, an online ordering platform for the cannabis industry, to order products from more than a dozen marijuana infused product brands, including Keef Cola, Dixie Elixirs, Cannapunch, Wana Brands, Foria, and ZOOTS.  The platform, which launched in March, is designed exclusively for the cannabis industry, meaning that each retailer on the platform must have a valid license from the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED).

Prior to using LeafLink, retailers traditionally ordered products from their vendors by texting, emailing or calling their sales representatives.  With some marijuana stores selling products from more than 20 vendors, their ordering often consumed a day or more each week.  Now, on LeafLink, Colorado retailers can order from multiple brands for all of their licenses, both recreational and medical, in one online cart.  Josh Best, who places orders for Medicine Man, said, “LeafLink’s all-in-one platform has simplified placing orders in a time efficient manner. It has eliminated the hassle of numerous phone calls, texts, and emails with our vendors regarding current inventory and what’s available for purchase.”  He added, “the reorder feature has been an added bonus and has saved me a lot of time.”

More than a dozen vendors are selling branded cannabis goods to their retailers through LeafLink.  Currently, retailers can order from Dixie Elixirs, Keef Cola, Oil Stix, Evolab, Infinite Infusions, ZOOTS, Foria, and hemp-based Nature’s Love.  Cannapunch, Wana Brands, Ebbu, Strainz, Mahatma Concentrates, Good Meds, Herbanoids, and THC-free CBD Luxe will be rolled out on the platform over the next month.

For many vendors, LeafLink will reduce time spent taking and processing orders from their clients, allowing their sales teams to focus on new business development.  Salespeople can use the platform’s built-in customer relationship management tools to track their engagements with all of their retailers.  The platform also offers order management tools for vendors, streamlining communication between their sales, distribution, and production teams and sending automatic updates to retailers as their orders are fulfilled.  “LeafLink helps streamline our CRM, our order fulfillment and our sales process,” Erik Knutson, co-founder of Keef Cola, said.  “All in all, we see increased efficiency.”

Brands such as Strainz, a marijuana concentrates producer in Nevada, and ZOOTS, which currently sells six of the top ten edibles in Washington, are looking to break into the Colorado market.  They seek access to potential retailers, who can order samples on LeafLink before purchasing the products for their stores.

LeafLink, which raised $1 Million in angel funding in December, is currently servicing the Colorado market and plans to expand to other states where marijuana is legal later this year.
