CannaKorp Draws on the Keurig Playbook as it Develops Novel Cannabis Vaporizer

cannakorp-cannacloud-cannacupsCannaKorp’s Chairman, Dave Manly, a former Keurig executive who joined in the early days of the company and retired in late 2015 to focus on the cannabis vaporizer developer, understands the business model the company is pursuing.  Just like Keurig, the company intends to deliver a consistent quality experience to its consumers.  CannaKorp will manufacture and distribute its CannaCloud vaporizer and will license its technology to cannabis growers who will, in turn, sell the CannaCups, similar to how Keuring pursues the opportunity in coffee.

Manly is not only intimately familiar with Keurig, but he has brought along some former executives like CTO Ian Tinkler and used the same design firm Keurig employed to develop the CannaCloud. Manly, who was serving as a consultant initially, joined as Chairman to aid in the fundraising efforts.

We’re licensing our technology, and we’re never going to touch marijuana ourselves. So there’s much less risk to investors.

The company expects to make initial sales in November in Colorado and Washington and expanding to additional states in 2017.
