With new greenhouses and growing spaces come purchases of new grow-lights, an essential tool for a robust cannabis crop, and start-up lighting companies are responding to the need with innovative products.
Marijuana plants need a lot of light to thrive, which in turn can mean high electricity bills, and high heat in the greenhouse requiring more cooling. Most indoor cannabis growers currently use High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights, but new companies developing alternative technologies are gunning for lower heat output, lower cost, and best light spectrum emission.
