This marks the first major expansion of the company’s telemedicine services outside of its home base of California. The state of New York has experienced growing pains since opening its program to patients in January 2016. The state of New York approved medical marijuana use in 2014, and subsequently passed the New York Telehealth Amendment Act in 2015, but there is still exceptionally limited telemedicine and medical marijuana access presently in New York.
