The Ohio Department of Commerce has announced the award of 11 Level II provisional licenses for cultivation for its medical cannabis program that is expected to launch next September. The licenses permit the holders to cultivate up to 3000 sq. ft. initially. The 14 highest scoring applications were from 11 different companies, with one group, Fire Rock, having three and another, Ohio Clean Leaf, having two. Each of these is required to select a single site within ten days. The recipients of the provisional licenses were posted to the state’s medical cannabis website, with links to the applications:
