TORONTO, Dec. 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Wayland Group (CSE:WAYL) (FRANKFURT: 75M) (OTCQB:MRRCF) (“Wayland” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that as of December 21, 2018 the Company has received additional licensing for seven (7) additional grow rooms from Health Canada, for phase one of its purpose-built cannabis production facility in Langton, ON.
Over the next 4 weeks the Company will transition 21,900 vegetative plants into the newly licensed rooms, three of which will be used for one cycle of flower, after which they will be used to support a perpetual cycle of cultivation as vegetation rooms.
When the Company set out on this journey, one of our core objectives was to set the standard for high quality, large scale production of cannabis that consumers can trust. Our world class facility is one step closer to accomplishing that goal as we are now able to commence the perpetual cycle of cultivation.
Ben Ward, CEO of Wayland
We are confident in the AI Data Grow platform developed in conjunction with Rockwell Automation, with proof of concept now complete. Full control of all aspects of cultivation from lighting, fertigation, nutrient cycles, temperature, humidity, and airflow is now in place, making quality of supply consistent and predictable.
An additional ten (10) flower rooms totaling 94,500 square feet have yet to be completed and will require Health Canada licensing approvals before cultivation can commence in those areas.
Maricann Group Inc., through its subsidiaries, is operating under the Wayland Group name. For further details see the press release dated September 24, 2018.
