This morning, Health Canada updated its list of licensed cultivators, processors and sellers, adding six new LPs and bringing the total to 140:
The agency added only companies involved with processing, including Dosecann LD, which was licensed on December 21st, as well as ARA – Avanti Rx Analytics, Hollyweed Manufacturing & Extracts, SynFine Research Limited, Toronto Research Chemicals and Zenalytic Laboratories, which were all added on the 24th. These were the first processing-only licenses awarded since Medipharm Labs (TSXV: LABS) (OTC: MLCPF) received its license in late March, the first time an LP had received a processing license without also receiving a cultivation license.
ARA – Avanti RX is owned by Aphria (TSX: APHA (NYSE: APHA), which acquired it in the Nuuvera acquisition. Dosecann is a wholly owned subsidiary of Auxly Cannabis Group (TSXV: XLY) (OTC: CBWTF). Zenalytics Labaoratories is wholly owned by GTEC Holdings (TSXV: GTEC) (OTC: GGTTF).
In 2018, Health Canada added a total of 56 LPs after adding 47 in 2017.
