WBNG in Binghamton, New York ran a two-part series on the Vireo Health cultivation facility in Fulton County, which was previously a juvenile correction center. Vireo Health is one of 5 licensed cannabis providers in the state, operating four dispensaries as well. Part 1 includes discussions with CEO Ari Hoffnung and Head Grower Chuck Schmitt.
Part 2 interviews Laboratory Director Eric Greenbaum, a lawyer with degrees in neuroscience and pharmacology, who describes the process of extraction and the creation of the products, including vaporization cartridges, pills and oils.
The products are sold with labels based on a rainbow spectrum, with red representing high-THC (19:1 THC:CBD) and indigo representing high-CBD (19:1 CBD:THC).
