Everyone knows Whoopi Goldberg, who lit up the internet last month when her new female-focused cannabis brand, Whoopi & Maya, launched. But what about her partner, Maya Elisabeth? Whoopi picked someone with significant industry experience and a common mission. The two met just a year ago.
Elisabeth began working in the cannabis industry after graduating from college and formed Om Edibles, an all-female run collective, in 2008. The company focuses on high quality ingredients, including sun-grown cannabis. Its products extend beyond those implied by the name, as it offers topicals as well. Elisabeth’s Om Edibles will come under the Maya & Elisabeth umbrella in the future.
