Each week, New Leaf Data Services publishes a weekly assessment of cannabis prices by evaluating the legal prices for a standardized potency across a variety of markets. From an overall perspective, prices fell by over 9% this week to $1734 per pound from $1895, with most reported transactions between $1662 and $2577 per pound. There was volatility that was apparently related to the Thanksgiving holiday, as the price is effectively the same as the $1729 reported two weeks ago. The report stated that outdoor prices averaged $1506, while greenhouse and indoor were $1845 and $2283, respectively.
Regionally, California was down 16% to $1445 (compared to $1447 two weeks ago), while Colorado rose almost 6% to $2040. Oregon prices increased 10% to $1920 per pound, while Washington was unchanged at $1648. Illinois prices were up 1% to $2857. The report details several regional observations, including black market prices, and it also shares a model that predicts forward prices.
