Marijuana Venture posted a great background piece on Colorado cannabis entrepreneur Christian Hageseth, who operates Green Man Cannabis and is intending to open the Green Man Cannabis Ranch, a “weedery” that is perhaps the first of its kind. At the recent National Cannabis Summit, in Denver, where he was a keynote speaker, he predicted that there will be many others that follow them in the coming years.
The article described how Hageseth emerged from financial disaster, entering the cannabis industry in 2009 after he “lost his ass” in the real estate downturn in 2008. Hageseth credits his success to the company’s devotion to standard operating procedures and the improvements in the regulatory environment. He stated that he expects his cost of production to drop from $850 per pound to $350 as he shifts production from indoor warehouses to his new greenhouse.
