Following up on the theme we discussed in this weekend’s newsletter regarding our view that a “third wave” in cannabis investing has commenced, we published an extensive review of the past seven years and our outlook for what lies ahead at Seeking Alpha. If you aren’t familiar with Seeking Alpha, it is a crowd-sourced publishing platform where I used to write extensively beginning in 2006 and has been known for covering a broad range of stocks and investment strategies since it was founded in 2004.
In the article, I discuss how the 27-month bear market likely ended in March, review the past two cycles and then explain why I believe the pandemic will likely be a growth driver for the cannabis industry. I also share a very interesting visual that perhaps shows how investors aren’t paying as much attention to the leading cannabis companies in the United States to the extent they have followed the leading Canadian LPs, and I lay out a scenario for how this may evolve favorably.
