National Cannabis Company Green Thumb Industries (GTI) Awarded the Maximum Five Dispensary Licenses in Ohio
Chicago, June 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Green Thumb Industries (GTI), a national cannabis cultivator, dispensary operator and consumer packaged goods company that produces and distributes a portfolio of cannabis brands, is pleased to announce that the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy awarded the company licenses to open five dispensaries in Ohio, the maximum number permitted under current regulations. There were 375 applications for the 56 awarded licenses. GTI is slated to open the five dispensaries in the following locations which are among the most populated areas in northern Ohio: Cleveland, Toledo, Lorain and two in Lakewood.

Patients with one of 21 qualifying conditions, including chronic pain, will be able to buy medical marijuana after registering via doctors certified to recommend medical marijuana in Ohio. The patient registration process is expected to begin next month.
