As has typically been the case, Health Canada updated its list of licensed producers this afternoon, boosting the number of LPs to 101. There were not only the four new additions, but the agency also amended the licenses of two other LPs to permit them to sell. The agency added two facilities in Ontario, one in British Columbia and one in New Brunswick, only the third in that province.
Tidal Health Solutions in New Brunswick and Northern Green Canada in Ontario received licenses for the first time, while Canopy Growth (TSX: WEED) (OTC: TWMJF) added yet another license, its second in BC for BC Tweed Joint Venture. Its first facility was licensed in mid-February. Tilray’s greenhouse in Ontario, High Park Farms, is the second for the company.
In addition to granting the new cultivation licenses, Health Canada amended the licenses of both Zenabis (its New Brunswick facility) and Beleave (CSE: BE) (OTC: BLEVF) to permit sales of dried cannabis.
