Since 2007, Global Alpha Forum has been bringing together hundreds of Alternative Investment professionals, offering panels and one-on-one meetings with a goal of covering the current state of the alternative investment industry and exploring the most recent trends. For the first time, the conference, which takes place in Stamford, CT today and tomorrow, will host panel discussions on investing in the cannabis industry.
The Cannabis Finance Symposium is one of four tracks, including as well an Innovation Symposium, a Private Equity Symposium and a Liquid Alts Symposium:
The symposium will provide detailed insight into the current state of investment into the Cannabis Industry and will address issues and opportunities related to investment options within the Cannabis Industry. Startups and Established Cannabis businesses will have the opportunity to present their company to an audience that includes some of the most influential industry participants and financiers.
Matt Karnes of Green Wave Advisors kicked off the symposium with an overview of the industry. Some of the more prominent speakers include Al Foreman of Tuatara Capital, Nicholas Vita of Columbia Care and James Winokur of CannaKorp.
