James West of The Midas Letter toured the Canopy Growth (TSX: WEED) (OTC: TWMJF) flagship facility, the Tweed factory in Smiths Falls, Ontario, interviewing President Mark Zekulin. The video included an inside look at several of the operations within the facility, perhaps the world’s largest legal indoor grow, including grow rooms, its new genetics lab and breeding facility, the trimming,curing and drying areas, the vault, the call center and its extracts production area.
Zekulin discussed several topics during the interview, including the industry outlook as full legalization approaches. He described the range of facilities, its brands, the recent production increase and its DNA Genetics partnership. Canopy Growth has built out a breeding facility to create products that have intellectual property. Zekulin also explained how the company has just begun to scale production and expects to see lower per-unit production costs that will allow the company to better compete with the black market with a higher quality product.
