The National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) held its annual election to fill 9 of its 18 board seats. 18 candidates ran for election. Six of the eight incumbents seeking reelection will serve another two-year term, and the three remaining positions will be served by Mark Passerini, Michael Steinmetz and Taylor West.

Passerini is the co-founder of Michigan-based dispensary Om of Medicine and formed the NCIA affiliate in Illinois in 2012. Steinmetz is the CEO and founder of California-based Flow Kana . West, who previously was Deputy Director of NCIA, has worked as Senior Communications Director at COHNNABIS in Denver since last August.

Kris Krane – 4Front Ventures
Jaime Lewis – Coldwater Consulting
Ean Seeb – Manna Molecular
Incumbents John Davis of Northwest Cannabis and Eric Pearson of SPARC were not reelected, while Lance Ott didn’t seek reelection.
