Ohio Announces 12 Provisional Large-Scale Medical Cannabis Cultivation Licenses

The Ohio Department of Commerce announced the recipients of provisional Tier I medical cannabis production licenses today. Tier I licenses, which include annual licensing fees of $200,000, permit cultivation to 25,000 sq. ft. initially, while Tier II licenses are limited initially to 3,000 sq. ft. The state received 109 Level I applications. It previously had awarded 11 provisional Tier II licenses earlier this month.

Several of the recipients are well-known multi-state operators, including Columbia Care, Cresco Labs and Harvest. License holders are permitted to operate only one location, and Harvest Grows has ten days to select which one it will develop. Here is the complete list, along with application scores and location:
