Pax Labs is extending its premium product line to take advantage of the trend towards cannabis concentrates by introducing the Pax Era vaporizer. The product, which retails for $59.99, is being sold only in California and Colorado initially and will work with only its own pods that will be sold by authorized partners. Most of the industry uses standard cartridges for oil vaporizers.
Pax has selected very highly regarded partners as the initial retailers of the pods, including California’s Bloom Farms and Colorado’s The Clinic. Bloom Farms will be selling the cartridges for $40 and is offering three different Pax Era Pods, Indica+, Hybrid+ and Sativa+. Bloom Farms will donate one healthy meal to one of its California-based food bank partners for every PAX Era Pod sold. The Clinic, which operates 5 Colorado stores and is also in Illinois and Nevada, hasn’t yet announced its pricing or initial products.
Update (3 P.M. ET)
Following publication, The Clinic released information about its offering, which includes a live resin extract created by its concentrates production division, The Lab. The pods, which have a retail price of $60, will be available at not only its own stores but also Medicine Man, Buddy Boy, LivWell Enlightened Health and several other dispensaries.
