Illinois adult-use cannabis sales in June were down 3.1% sequentially to a $141.8 million, which was about the same on a per-day basis from the longer May. The gain was 3.9% from a year ago, the slowest growth since last July:
After increasing 106% in 2021, 13% in 2022 and then 5% in 2023, year-to-date adult-use sales are up 8.5% in 2024 to $850.7 million. During June, sales to non-residents were 23.0%:
The state separately releases sales from its medical program, and the release for June showed that sales fell 5.4% sequentially to $23.1 million, which was down 14.5% from a year ago:
For June, combined adult-use and medical sales were $164.9 million, decreasing 3.4% sequentially with one less day during the month and up 0.9% from a year ago:
Total sales of $1.96 billion in 2023 were up 3% from 2022. So far in 2024, sales have increased 5% from the start of 2023.
